Society 5.0 and Industry 5.0 in Europe are human-centered societies that combine economic development with solutions to social issues. In order to realize such a society, research and development that highly integrates cyberspace and physical space is desired.
In this laboratory, we are conducting research on networked control systems (NCS), which is a feedback control system via communication paths, as a fundamental technology for the realization of such a system. NCS can solve various social problems such as telemedicine, remote monitoring, and automatic driving by spatially coupling robots, mechatronics, humans, and information.
The challenge in NCS is to compensate for data delays and missing data. We study how to solve these problems by using predictive control, robust control, reinforcement learning, and machine learning methods with models of control objects and networks, and clarify their effectiveness through simulations and experiments.
